The Dallas Peace Center hosts a strategy session with Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson's D.C.-based staffer that will be coordinating the 2006 Conference on Women as Peacemakers. Discussion will include a proposed date change (not Mother's Day weekend) and more systematic follow-up and coordination with the Third International Women's Peace Conference in Dallas July 4-8, 2007.

Dallas Women in Black stands vigil at Ferris Plaza (Houston & Young streets, across from the Dallas Morning News and Union Station) every Thursday. Women in Black is an international network of women activists that  challenges the concept (the reality) of violence and occupation as a viable approach to conflict resolution.
